How to set the ticket uplift
- • Impulse categories (fashion, beauty): 15–25% uplift
- • Durable goods (furniture, appliances): lower uplift, 5–12%
- • Replenishment items (supplements, pet food, grocery): 10–15% — customers already buy in bulk
- If you have never run free shipping with a minimum, start at the lower end of the range — overestimating uplift is the most common mistake.
What this model does not capture
- • Cart abandonment from "almost reached the minimum" (UX becomes a lost-sale signal)
