How the Character Counter works
The counter runs 100% in your browser: with every keystroke it scans your text and counts characters, words, and hashtags in real time. Characters include spaces and punctuation; words are split by spaces; hashtags are any token starting with #, exactly the way each network reads them at publish time.
Alongside, the tool compares your total against each platform's limit and shows how much room is left. Example: a 1,900-character caption stays green on Instagram (2,200 limit, 300 to spare) but blows past Twitter/X (280 limit) and your Instagram bio (150 limit). You catch the overflow before copy-pasting.
Tip for Brazilian e-commerce: keep your sales line and CTA ("shop now with 10% OFF") within the first 125 characters on Instagram, since that's what shows before the "...more". Text cut off at that point kills clicks. Use the count to make sure your offer never hides in the truncation.
