UTM Builder
Add utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content parameters to any link. Copy straight into Google Analytics.
Generated URL
Fill in the required fields to generate the URL.
Field tip
- • Always use the same pattern (e.g. black_friday_2026, not Black-Friday-2026): analytics groups by exact string.
- • Source/medium/campaign are the 3 required fields. Term and content are bonuses.
- • Spaces and uppercase are normalized automatically to avoid duplication.
How it works
How the UTM Builder works
The builder assembles a trackable link by appending UTM parameters to the end of your URL. You enter the destination page and fill in five fields: utm_source (where the traffic comes from), utm_medium (the channel type), utm_campaign (the campaign name), and optionally utm_term and utm_content. The tool joins everything with ? and & and returns a link ready to copy.
Practical example: the page https://mystore.com.br/sneakers with source instagram, medium social and campaign blackfriday becomes https://mystore.com.br/sneakers?utm_source=instagram&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=blackfriday. In Google Analytics that visit shows up separately, so you know exactly that it came from your Black Friday Instagram post.
Tip for BR e-commerce: always standardize lowercase with no accents or spaces, because GA4 treats instagram and Instagram as two different sources and clutters the report. Use utm_content to test creatives (for example content=top-banner versus content=stories) and find which variation drives more sales.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- What is a UTM and what is it for?
- UTMs are parameters you add to the end of a link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content) to identify where each visit comes from in Google Analytics. They let you measure each campaign, ad or post separately.
- How do I create a URL with UTM parameters?
- Paste the destination link, fill in utm_source (e.g. instagram), utm_medium (e.g. cpc) and utm_campaign (e.g. blackfriday), and the builder assembles the full URL for you to copy. It's free and runs right in your browser, no signup.
- What's the difference between utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign?
- utm_source is the traffic origin (e.g. google, newsletter), utm_medium is the channel type (e.g. cpc, email, social) and utm_campaign is the campaign name (e.g. mothers-day). Together they pinpoint exactly where each click came from in Analytics.
- What are utm_term and utm_content for?
- utm_term records the paid keyword (used in Google Ads) and utm_content distinguishes variations of the same ad or link — handy for A/B tests, like two buttons in one campaign. Both are optional; source, medium and campaign are the recommended minimum.
- Is the UTM builder free?
- Yes, Batedor's UTM builder is 100% free, runs entirely in your browser and requires no login. You assemble the URL with the parameters and copy it straight into Google Analytics, ads or posts.
